Dr. Larry Smith has practiced chiropractic on beautiful Vancouver Island, Canada since 1987. His mission is to promote the tremendous benefits of chiropractic, health and fitness for the whole family. He uses his diversified life experiences to help patients reach their maximum healing potential and strongly encourages every person to take responsibility for his or her own health.

Dr. Smith graduated in 1987 from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto. He previously attended the University of Manitoba with studies in science and physical education. He graduated in 1983 with a B.P.E. and was twice named MVP of the men’s gymnastics team.
He is a member of the Canadian, B.C. and Manitoba Chiropractic Associations. He is proud to have been past president of the North Vancouver Island Chiropractic Association.
Dr. Smith has been very involved in the local community and has worked as Team Chiropractor for:
- The Mid Island Boxing Club
- Arrowsmith Mountain Bikers
- Morningstar International Classic Golf Tournament
- The annual “Tour de Rock” Police Bikeathon for cancer research
Since 2010, Dr. Larry has regularly volunteered his Chiropractic service for the clients of Salvation Army. Dr. Larry Smith has also donated services to raise money for the local Society of Organized Services, (SOS) and has been a member of the P.Q. Big Brothers. He is a member of ORCA (Oceanside Running Club Association), the Aqua Terra Triathlon Cluband the Ravensong Masters Swimming Club. He has written several articles about chiropractic and sports injuries. He has completed 17 marathons and completed the grueling Ironman Canada triathlon in 2006, 2008 and 2012.
In 2007, his book, “Embracing The Journey of Recovery”was published. His book will inspire anyone whose life has been touched by fear, suffering and loss.
